Supporting Ben’s urgent call for help

This week our charity partner Ben made an urgent call for help. Ben, the automotive charity who provides vital support for people within the industry, stated they have seen a 50% increase in people requesting support, but they face a £1m shortfall with fundraising events cancelled.

In response to Ben’s latest campaign requesting support from CEOs within the automotive industry, we knew we needed to help. We already work with Ben as a charity partner for our car donation scheme, but we have decided we wanted to do more.

This month, we have launched a new scheme and we have chosen Ben as our charity for November. Alongside customers being able to choose to donate the proceeds of scrapping their car to charity, this new scheme means that from every car we scrap throughout the month, we will donate a portion of the proceeds to our chosen charity.

Ben is the support service for automotive people. From the shop floor to the top floor, Ben is there for everyone who works, or has worked, in the UK automotive industry. They help people with a wide range of issues – everyone is different. Whether they need support to get through a crisis or some advice and tips to help improve their health & wellbeing, they’re there to help. Their mission is to make a positive difference to people’s lives – they’re there to help people create a better tomorrow.

Ben provides a range of free and confidential services; from online self-help tools, regular health & wellbeing tips, advice and tools by email, to a dedicated helpline and one-to-one support. Ben works with individuals to provide the right support, at the right time to help them get back on track – for good.

We are proud to be able to support Ben at a time when charities have suffered the impact of this year and when people who use their services need them more than ever.
